2011 saw a great deal of planning, fund raising and work around the club. Our wet weather shelter was completed and we now have a second with a third in the planning stage.  We rebranded the club and kicked off a strategy to outfit players and supporters in the new designs.

A deficit was quickly turned into a profit thanks mainly to some great support from our sponsors and our many fund raising activities.

Successful grants saw ball screens erected behind our training fields increasing safety for our members. A new shipping container means we have expanded storage to house our gear. We are planning wet coverage for the canteen in 2012.

It has been a great partnership with AlburyCity not only to improve our clubs facilities but to improve the communities enjoyment of Alexandra Park. That partnership aligns with our clubs strategic plan and will see the Albury City Council spend over 1.5 million dollars over the next 4 years. Redeveloping and re-levelling our main grounds and increasing our training fields from 2 to 4. This will make us the 2nd biggest AWFA dedicated facility in the league.

We welcome John Ritchie and Andrew Scheidl (Fritz) into the Senior coaching ranks and believe we have a skillful and loyal team to bring us success in 2012. Lets all get behind our coaches and managers and have a fun and enjoyable season.

Amateur sporting clubs run on the blood sweat and tears of their many volunteers (thank you)

but we are also lucky to have a major sponsor. A great ongoing relationship with Paddy’s, now

in it’s twelfth year, gives the club stability and a great venue for all our social gatherings. We

are looking forward to some great events at Paddy’s in 2012.
